The Wok Cafe @ The Strand, Kota Damansara.

This is going to be my first blog for the month on November and I would like to make this a memorable one. Thanks to my buddy M as he brought us to a lovely restaurant at The Strand Kota Damansara where one can find genuine 100% Penang Nyonya authentic cuisine.

With a fancy name to it, The Wok Cafe truly deserves eternity praises. I never have thought that I could find a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that dishes out pure Penang Nyonya food.

Not only does this place rocks with it's food ...... the decor rocks too! Just unbelievable truly authentic Penang Nyonya theme. Fabulous indeed. It took me awhile to really focus on all the lovely decor made mostly of antiques. Cool...

M decided to order for us. To start off the feast ..... 'Roast Pork Garlic'. Simply amazing. Just couldn't find the words to describe how lovely it tasted. Just a tad too oily.

RM22.00
Next in line ...... 'Perut Ikan'. This dish reminds me of 'assam laksa' as it tasted just like one. This dish is cooked with sweet and sour herbs and vegetable curry and cooked with some fish intestines. A very appetizing dish which will make one consumes more rice. Satisfying indeed.

RM14.00
RM16.00

'Jui Hoo Char' came next. It is a mixture of shredded vegetables fried together with shredded carrots and turnips mixed with some shredded cuttlefish. This dish serves together with lettuce leaves and best eaten wrapped with the leaves or can be eaten with rice. A typical Penang dish and a must!

RM10.00
We just couldn't resist the temptation of 'Loh Bak'. We were really trying our best to control our consumption but the temptation was just too great. It is not complete without this dish. Loh Bak is pork rolls made of spiced pork wrapped in beancurd skin and deep fried to perfection. We were so amazed with this dish and we just wanted more. 2 Thumbs up!!!

RM6.00
RM3.50
To round up this feast ..... we had some really cool stuff to cool all of us. 'Ais Kacang' and 'Cendol'. Frankly speaking this place serves the best cendol and ais kacang in town or even in Malaysia. I have never tasted something so delicious out of Penang and this place truly deserves full ratings.

Conclusion : This place does dish out pure Penang Nyonya dish. 100% pure. No more no less. Full praise from us, full ratings from us too. 5/5.

Cheers.
